To commemorate my upcoming 5,000th pageview, and to celebrate in a way of giving back to the community, I've decided to orchestrate a small contest for aspiring artists, and experianced users alike. If you think the theme and overall idea of this seems familiar, you have =screenvision to thank for instilling this idea in me, and also providing a basis to make a contest over. [Who is Eligible for the Contest?]

• All current DA members
• Anyone that has not violated a policy (plagerism, stolen art, ect.)

[The Winner, Hand Chosen]

• The winner of the contest will simply be chosen by the raw dedication put into the piece that has been submitted. I will choose the winning pieces, so make sure that what you create is something you yourself deem worthwhile
• Remember, this is not just a vote for the most popular person; no matter who you are, enter. This is a talent contest

[The Art]

• Theme: Love and Compassion
• Your task is to create a piece of art that captures your interpretation of love and/or compassion in the world.
• You must be the sole creator of your work
• Any art style is a viable option (3D, vector, pencil
• One deviation per artist
• Only supportive comments to the artists - do not be harsly critical.

TO SUBMIT

After your deviation is uploaded, send me a note and let me know that it's up. Please note that you may only submit new art, dated after today, to the contest. Please also place a note linking back to this entry in the description for the piece!

The contest begins on March 8th, 2006 and will end on March 31st, 2006 (Or whenever 10 or more entries have been submitted). The judges will then evaluate, and present the winner shortly thereafter.
